Emily Picon, LMSW, is a child psychotherapist at The Tree House Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County. She specializes in utilizing evidence-based approaches to help children heal from trauma. Ms. Picon is a certified provider of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the gold standard in child trauma treatment. She also specializes in assessment and treatment of children who exhibit problematic sexual behavior and is an approved provider of Problematic Sexual Behavior-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Ms. Picon received her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) degree from Catholic University, and has experience providing therapy to a diverse population of children, adolescents and adults. She is bilingual in Spanish and English and joined The Tree House in 2018.
