Dr. Carlton E. Green earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. Currently, Dr. Green is the Director of Diversity Training & Education (DTE) in the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI) at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD). Prior to taking on this role, he served as a Staff Psychologist at the UMD Counseling Center for approximately 5 years. In 2016, he was recognized as a Diversity Scholar by the Association of Counseling Center Training Agencies. He is a member of the historic Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA. There, he is the President of the AGAPE Mental Health Ministry, which provides mental health counseling, outreach, and referrals to church members. In 2019, the Maryland Psychological Association recognized Dr. Green with the Grady Dale Jr. Award for Outstanding Contributions to Diversity in Psychology.
